The Mordell conjecture, proved by Faltings in 1983, asserts that there are only finitely many rational points on a curve of genus at least 2 over a number field. The Bombieri-Lang conjecture is a high-dimensional generalization of this conjecture. In this talk, I will introduce the Bombieri--Lang conjecture and its known cases.

专家简介：

袁新意，北京大学北京国际数学研究中心教授，研究方向为数论与算术代数几何。2003年，获北京大学学士学位；2008年，获美国哥伦比亚大学博士学位。2012-2019年，先后任加州大学伯克利分校助理教授和副教授；2020年，回到北京大学工作，任讲席教授。
