报告题目：On Smooth Transonic Flows and Mixes Type Equations

Abstract：In this talk I will present some studies on the existence of smooth steady transonic flows for which the steady compressible Euler equations become mixed type and degenerate. Such studies are extremely challenging due to the changes of types and the unknown location and rates of degeneracy at the sonic points of the nonlinear problem. Some smooth transonic flows either with certain symmetries, or for the quasi-2D model will be proved to exist. The emphasizes will be on flows with rotations, and/or positive accelerations, and non-zero vorticities. This talk is based on joint works with ChunpengWang, Shangkun Weng and Hongwei Yuan. The works are supported by HKRGC Grants and NSFC Grants.
