报告题目：Mathematical Theory of Invisibility and its Oneness with Visibility after Duality

Abstract : Invisibility has been a fantasy to human beings for thousands of years. In recent years, it has also become a serious and popular theme for many scientific quests. In this talk, I shall review our mathematical understanding of this intriguing topic. I shall mainly discuss two invisibility technologies, including the one based on metamaterial cloaking and the other one based on plasmonic resonance. Invisibility and visibility have been longly treated as two dual notions in the wave scattering theory. I shall also discuss their oneness by showing how invisibility enables us to achieve super visibility.
